Raunchy reads pt 1.

Welcome to raunchy reads! I love reading and collecting interesting books, especially ones related to sexology. Here you’ll find suggestions & reviews of all kinds of books; educational, erotica, coffee table books, novels!! You won’t be able to em’ down.

1.  Slutdom, by Dr Hilary Caldwell

A well-informed read that covers a lot of contemporary issues surrounding sexual shame, especially for fem identifying folks. Hilary herself is a sexologist, researcher, mother and sex worker, giving her a unique and well-rounded perspective.

2.   Healing Sex, by Staci Haines.

A book for anyone who has experienced sexual trauma. I love this book because it focuses on empowerment and sexual autonomy, helping survivors to take back power and look forward into a leading a fulfilling and intentional sex life. A great starting point for those just getting into it.

3.  Desire, a collection of short stories chosen by Mariella Frostrup and The Erotic Review.

Honestly, I haven’t got through this whole collection yet, but hey! This is why its’ so good. A perfect one for the bedside table for whenever you want a quick erotic journey, without reading a whole book. I also recommend this to anyone who wants to get into reading erotica but isn’t sure where to start. You get to sample so many different styles, authors and eras – helping you to feel out what you enjoy. It’s really a gift that keeps on giving.

4.  Sex, by Black + White books.

I found this 2003 gem at a second-hand book shop in Canberra. It’s an imagery book filled with a generous collection of sexy photos by photographers all over the globe. The content varies from subtle imagery of fruit to some seriously explicit and raunchy visuals. You are 100% likely to find something in there that floats your boat and inspires you.
